About Me

I'm a UX/UI designer with a passion for observing and quickly identifying obvious (and not-so-obvious) flaws in the user experience.

Instead of jumping straight to a solution after spotting a problem, I savor the process of trying to understand the “why” behind the problem. I study the situation by wondering, observing, and inquiring. This methodology ultimately leads me to creating solutions that provide a better user experience.

I have a professional background in graphic design, marketing, and front-end web development, as well as an education in fine art and fashion/textile design. My unique creative experience gives me a well-rounded, holistic approach to addressing complex challenges within the design process.

In my spare time, I create one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces using hand-woven and hand-knotted textiles. I also volunteer for Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, caring for a wonderful foster bunny named "Snickers".

Perimenopause Health App Research and Design

My role in this project was to perform a needs finding assessment and competitive analysis, determine a minimum viable product, create user personas and journey maps, run task flows, create wireframes, design prototypes, and conduct usability testing for PeriJourn, a speculative app for perimenopausal people.

Heuristic Evaluation

My role in this project was to conduct a heuristic evaluation of the discussion board for the Coursera online course delivery system. Nielsen's 10 usability heuristics for user interface design were used as a guide, and problems were rated on a severity scale from cosmetic to catastrophic.

My role in this project was to conduct a user test on StudentUniverse.com to determine whether or not the ability to search for discounted student rate airline tickets was simple enough for the average user, as this is the main advantage to choosing Student Universe over similar travel booking websites.
